Mr Eddy's Biography

Graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Physics at University of New South Wales Sydney Australia.

Graduated in 1990 with a Graduate Diploma in Education at Sydney University NSW Australia.

I have taught IB Physics since Jan 2007 in Australia at the Queensland Academy of Science Maths and Technology Toowong Brisbane and currently at Zurich International School since Aug 2009 to the present time.

I have a wealth of knowledge of the IB Physics course content. I have completed a Cat 1 IB Physics workshop in Singapore September 2007; and three Cat 3 IB Physics workshops in Paris 2010; Dubai 2014; and Paris 2016. The last two workshops had a specific focus on the new Internal Assessment criteria.

Taught HSC Physics at Belmont High School in NSW Australia from Jan 2000 - Dec 2002; Newcastle Grammar School in NSW Australia from Jan 2003 - Dec 2004;

Taught IB Physics HL/SL at QASMT Toowong Brisbane from Jan 2007 - June 2009; ZIS from August 2009 - current.

Co-authored the Pearson Physics 11 Queensland Student Textbook for the QCE 2019 Syllabus for Queensland Australia.

A passionate teacher who loves the outdoors; both walking and bike riding are his releases away from class. He is an avid science fiction movie buff, believes the glass is always half full, likes a good read usually around historical books, and a follower of SpaceX and Tesla.
